  • This was a gift for my son’s girlfriend, and she says it’s perfect. She needed something that could hold a large portion so she could cook an entire meal in one pan.

  • Not recommended for ceramic or glass top stove tops. It says to not use at high heat. I didn’t, but the pan warped, so it wobbled on the stove top.
    I have gone through 2 of these pans, and while they cook great and the inside cleans easy,they both ended up wobbling on the stove. Their bottoms ‘bulged’.
    The blue outer surface is also heard to clean. Stains do not come off.
    I will not buy another. . . . I am going back to good old cast iron.

  • A couple of weeks ago, I received the Rachel Ray 8″ and 10″ skillet set. Finally, skillets that allow perfect omelets, great stir-fried veggies with the easiest clean-up I’ve ever had the pleasure to perform. Today I got the 6 qt sautee pan. The same undeniable quality, the same cool orange look. Tonight I made the best fried rice I’ve ever made. Maybe the best fried rice I’ve ever had. Not one grain of rice, or anything else stuck to pan. The heat distributed perfectly on my gas stove with relatively small burners. My old “non-stick” wok is going out in the morning rubbish.

    Except for her 30 minutes meals programs, I’m not the biggest Rachel fan out there, but the three pans I’ve bought and the one knife I bough have been of excellent quality. I’ll by more as I keep upgrading my kitchen. . . Aloha

    This is my primary cooking pan for just about everything for 2-4 people. I find anything beyond this, I must use my large oval pan from Rachael Ray. It holds heat almost to well sometimes, and I have to be careful not to walk away from things that are cooking above medium and need to be stirred. I love this pan, and set of cookware in general. I would recommend this cookware to anyone wanting some good quality cookware that is affordable.

    One thing though. If you put it in the dishwasher, make sure you do NOT use detergent with bleach in it. I did this and my finish is now light orange, not the deep orange anymore. It’s past the warranty to have it replaced, but I don’t care. They still work great! So what the color faded (I’m sure it would have happened eventually).

    This can be used on glass/ceramic cook tops, so long as you are careful. I had these pans before I got my new stove, and I wasn’t about to get new pans to accommodate my new stove when I love these pans. Having a glass/ceramic cook top is something you have to be careful with no matter what kind of pan you work with. Cast Iron pans being the biggest ones to worry about. Make sure your cook top is clean, and the bottom of the pan is clean, no slamming it down, and there will be no problems. I quite frequently slide my pan back and forth over the burner so I don’t have to flip the pan in the air and risk slamming it down, breaking the top in the process. Treat your stuff with care, and there will be no problems. (This comment added to the user who returned it due to this)
